TURN SOUTH COAST GREEN

November is shaping up to be an exciting month for the Shoalhaven Greens,
starting with the launch of Amanda Findley’s campaign launch for the State
Seat of South Coast.
If elected, Amanda will retain her position as Mayor with the support of Greens
councillors Tonia Gray, Evan Christen, and Moo Dath.
Greens Lead Upper House candidate Cate Faehrmann, joined Amanda and
supporters at the launch and said the Greens believe the seat winnable.
“This is a serious contest and race for us and we are going to throw a lot at
getting Amanda over the line,” Cate said.
More info:
Pre-selection for Kiama is ongoing but we’ll let you know as soon as the
candidate is announced.

COASTAL DEVELOPMENT FORUM

Try to get along to the Coastal Development public form at Callala on Sunday.
Coastal towns are facing an onslaught of inappropriate development – often
based on plans approved decades ago. Amanda Findley will join a range of speakers including community representatives and Greens Lead Upper House
candidate Cate Faehrmann.
Time: 3:30-5pm.

END NATIVE FOREST LOGGING

The Shoalhaven Greens’ campaign to end native forest logging received a big
boost at the recent LGNSW conference. Greens mayor and South Coast
candidate, Amanda Findley, presented a motion calling on LGNSW to make
ending native forest logging an advocacy priority in the lead-up to the state
election. The battle continues, but what a great step forward! Congratulations to
Amanda, Takesa Frank and everyone else who has worked hard to make it
happen.

OUR GREENS ON COUNCIL

Great to see our Greens councillors advocating on issues like the 45 degree
exemption for tree removal, state government control of agritourism, and the
need to incorporate town character into the planning process at Monday night’s
Council meeting. You can find out more about Council meetings at

RECENT EVENTS

Great support on the weekend for the Husky Heritage Association’s rally and
the Southerly Change Festival at Manyana. Communities coming together to
promote change is what grass roots democracy is all about.

LIVING DEMOCRACY IN ACTION

Unfortunately we have had to postpone this Living Democracy event. New date
