March for Forests in Ulladulla

Greens members and supporters of our native forests turned out in force for the Ulladulla March for Forests in March. Organised under the auspices of the Bob Brown Foundation, these national protests called for an end to native forest logging and the threats it poses to native habitat.

Taxpayers are subsidising the destruction of our native forests, accelerating the threat to many endangered species, including koalas, gliders and more. In the Brooman Forest, logging is scheduled to recommence in compartments near Big Spotty – the world’s tallest recorded spotted gum tree, estimated to be 500 years old.

Not good enough!
