Meet our Mayoral candidate – Kaye Gartner

Kaye Gartner has a background in the healthcare industry and served as a Councillor from 2016 to 2021. Having run her own business, Kaye believes her Greens team can offer the Shoalhaven financially responsible management while maintaining the essential services that residents want and working towards a brighter future.

“The Shoalhaven needs a progressive council to meet the challenges ahead and bring about change that achieves positive benefits for everyone,” she says. “We need more affordable housing projects, a genuine renewable energy policy to achieve Net Zero and sensitive and sensible input to the next Local Environment Plan. 

“Our team comes from a diverse range of backgrounds with experience and qualifications in everything from the environment to science, agriculture, law, education, health, youth services, activism and management. Every one of them has a wealth of knowledge and expertise to offer to our community.

 “I believe in collaboration, not pitting one side against the other, and am keen to work with all my fellow Councillors to bring our community together.”
