Backing our hard-working teachers, delivering the schools our children need and deserve
For too long, a lack of vision and planning from the NSW Government has meant the school system across South Coast has failed to keep pace with our fast-growing population.

At the same time, the workloads of our teachers continue to grow without a fair increase in pay to reflect the extra responsibilities they are burdened with.
More than a decade of LNP neglect has left parents and teachers alike in our community facing undue stress.
The recent threat of closure and last minute lifeline given to the Big Fat Smile-run early learning centre in Milton is a classic example of poor strategic planning leaving children in our community without access to vital early-learning opportunities.
As a former high-school teacher, Amanda is passionate about making sure all South Coast children get the opportunity they deserve to access quality education – so they can achieve their amazing potential in life.
In her role as Shoalhaven Mayor, Amanda has been a tireless campaigner for better school resources across South Coast. She was instrumental in ensuring the Anglican School site in Milton was retained to build a public school. If elected to NSW Parliament, she will be a strong voice ensuring this project is completed.
Amanda also supported and advocated on behalf of the Shoalhaven Community Preschool, which needed to be relocated due to the redevelopment of Shoalhaven Hospital.
With her Greens colleagues in the NSW Parliament, Amanda will stand shoulder to shoulder with teachers in their fight with the State Government for fairer pay and more administrative support. The Greens are the only party standing at this election to offer our dedicated and hard-working teachers their unqualified support
